Not on their way to an incident, but leaving town after the transport festival. This pair of "green goddesses" dates from 1954.
Sandbach transport festival 2016

The transport festival has been an annual feature of the town since 1992. Originally held over the May bank holiday weekend, it is now on a weekend in April. It celebrates all forms of road transport from motorbikes to large lorries and buses, from veteran steam traction engines to the latest models. Sandbach was home to the ERF and Foden factories until the 1990s, and some of their products can usually be seen.
