NY3007 : A group above Easedale Tarn

taken 9 years ago, 3 km from Chapel Stile, Cumbria, England

A group above Easedale Tarn
A group of young people (Duke of Edinburgh or Brathay Trust perhaps) with their 'minder' congregate above the tarn, having walked up out of Easedale. They then made their way over Blea Rigg towards Stickle Tarn. Beyond the intervening ridges, Helvellyn still carries winter snow streaks on its west-facing flank. There will be much more in the coves on the further side.
