In the background is the 12th century St Nicholas Walcot, and the astonishing Weeping Beech at its east end, still without any spring foliage. Behind the wall is the huge gate-flanking Yew.

And in the foreground is my new car, a Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV with 60 miles on the clock, representing the second octart of the 21st century.
