It was day of such excellent clarity that two of the 3,000 foot mountains of the Lake District are clearly visible in this zoom shot from lowly Warton Crag. Helvellyn can be seen just overtopping the intervening Fairfield horseshoe. More obvious is the humped cone of Skiddaw to the left, just over 60km away.
