Queen's Mill, Castleford
Queen's Mill, Castleford
This is the world's largest stoneground flour mill with 20 sets of millstones and was powered by a water wheel until 1970. The wheel survives in the rectangular opening and is to be restored. This was formerly Allinson's mill making the 'flour with nowt taken out'. The mill is now owned by Castleford Heritage Trust.
