SP0218 : The Frogmill Inn - Garden and water-wheel
taken 9 years ago, near to Shipton, Gloucestershire, England
The Frogmill Inn is situated beside the A436 near to its junction with the A40. The oldest parts date back to the C17th, but there were alterations and extensions over the next three centuries. It is on a site mentioned in the Domesday Book. It is EH Grade II listed Link
The Inn has a public bar and restaurant and a number of bedrooms. It has quite recently been taken over by Marco Pierre White's "Wheelers of St James" company and is being gradually refurbished - good news as it was closed for a while some years ago.
[Update June 2016] The Frogmill is currently closed again. Marco Pierre White sold the property for £1.3m in December 2015 and it does not seem to have opened again since. See Link and refer to the inn's website Link for the latest information.
