The surfaced trackbed of the Ticknall Tramway
Completed in 2014, since SK3422 : Trackbed of the Ticknall tramway was taken in 2007, the bed of the old tramway has been surfaced to form a footpath and cycleway linking Calke Abbey with Staunton Harold. The tramway was a horse-drawn plateway, linking Ticknall to the Ashby Canal. Ironically, horse riding is not allowed on the new path.
