Line of the North British Railway
The track bed of the North British Railway which, in its entirety, went from Reston to St Boswells and was built from 1849-1865. The section through Gordon was damaged by heavy rains in 1948; it closed and was never reopened - see NT6644 : North British Railway in Berwickshire . Looking towards Earlston from the eastern edge of Gordon Moss woodland.
