Centurion FV4017 main battle tank
The Centurion was introduced in 1945 as the primary British main battle tank of the post-World War II period. It is believed by many to be one of the most successful post-war tank designs, remaining in production into the 1960s, and seeing combat in the front lines into the 1980s. The chassis was also adapted for several other roles, and these have remained in service to this day. The tank is on display in the hangar of the Norfolk Tank Museum.
The Norfolk Tank Museum

The Norfolk Tank Museum is a small independent museum displaying Cold War military vehicles, weaponry and tanks, situated at Bridge Farm in Station Road, Forncett St Peter, about three kilometres west of Long Stratton. Visitors can climb aboard and explore a range of vehicles parked on the site as well as sit in a Saladin armoured scout car or a Chieftain battle tank and even go for a ride in a tracked or wheeled military vehicle on the museum's off-road track.

The museum is adjoined by Bridge Farm caravan site and well worth a visit. For more information go to: LinkExternal link
