Agnus Dei
Agnus Dei
Detail of the mosaic above the sedilia Link in the Lady Chapel of St.Mary's church. The mosaic is based on the famous triptych by the Van Eyck brothers in the Church of St.Bavon in Ghent, executed by Messrs. James Powell & Sons of Whitefriars, London in 1912. The Christian symbol of the Lamb of God (Agnus Dei) refers to Christ as the sacrificial lamb LinkExternal link
