Roman City Wall, St.Albans
'St.Germain's Block', built AD 256-270. Originally 5 metres high, with a walkway on top, protected by a 1.8 metre parapet. This was part of the eastern wall of the Roman city of Verulamium.

St.Albans Cathedral can be seen, beyond the wall, in the distance.
