MediaCityUK is a 200-acre mixed-use property development site at Salford Quays on the banks of the Manchester Ship Canal in Salford and Trafford. The principal tenants are media organizations, most notably the BBC. The land occupied by the development was part of the Port of Manchester and Manchester Docks.
Orange is an 11-storey building with four types of cladding, including one made of folded aluminium in a diamond pattern. It houses departments from the University of Salford on three floors and staff from ITV Granada on seven floors.
