An overview of the area within the moat at Folkingham Castle.
The castle was for a long time the site of a prison.
No buildings remain now apart from the gatehouse, with its stern inscription "House of Correction" above the archway.
The gatehouse has been restored as a holiday home by the Landmark Trust, and this picture is from the bedroom window.
