Ashton Moss Tram Stop
Phase 3b of the Metrolink East Manchester Extension opened between Droylsden and Ashton–Under-Lyne on Wednesday, 9 October 2013. The new extension added a further 2.1 miles and 4 new stops to the route.
Here, Bombardier M5000 tram number 3049 is at the inward (Manchester) bound side of the island platform at the Ashton Moss stop which off–road, in a dedicated tramway next to Lord Sheldon Way (the Ashton Northern Bypass). It serves The Snipe Retail Park and Ashton Leisure Park in Ashton Moss.
