Through the arched window
This view of the Alnwick Garden through a shaped opening in the side of a pergola reminded me of a childhood TV programme with its variously shaped “story windows”.

The Alnwick Garden

The Alnwick Garden was the brainchild of the Duchess of Northumberland, established in the early years of the 21st century in the grounds of her castle at Alnwick. it is run as a separate visitor attraction from the castle itself. The project aims not only to provide a wide range of garden settings for pleasure, but also a learning experience for children and as a charitable foundation to promote gardening skills.
