The Gothic design of the chancel blends perfectly with the ancient church to which it was added in 1874. The reredos was installed in 1887 the centre piece is a painted panel depicting the Ascension. The east window is by Burlison and Grylls and central among its figures is St Helen, holding the Cross of Christ.
