SD4670 : The Keer Channel

taken 14 years ago, 3 km from Bolton-le-Sands, Lancashire, England

The Keer Channel
The Keer Channel
At low tide out on Warton Sands. It should be noted that the channel of the river has shifted away from the course shown on the maps. The sand varies a lot from hard and firm to soft quicksand (especially near the channels). To confirm my arrival in the square I lined up the southern end of the slag outcrops with Hunting Hill behind.
