Left-hand Bollard
Left-hand Bollard
Market Avenue SJ9399 : Market Avenue is a pedestrian walkway from Ashton market to Old Street. Two metal bollards were erected in 2008 to celebrate the reopening of the market hall, rebuilt after being destroyed by fire in 2004. This plaque on the left-hand bollard depicts a plan of Ashton Old Town as laid out in the 1740s by the 5th Earl of Stamford.
