NS3382 : Remains of lime-kiln beside the Red Burn

taken 13 years ago, near to Colgrain, Argyll And Bute, Scotland

Remains of lime-kiln beside the Red Burn
This is the same lime-kiln ruin as is shown in NS3382 : Remains of lime-kiln beside the Red Burn; see that item for further details. The present view shows it from a point higher up on the side of the glen, a vantage point that reveals its unusual shape more clearly; it is not quite circular, but is lower on the right (the eastern, upstream side of the ruin).

Another lime-kiln ruin is located more or less above this one, close to the photographer's position: NS3382 : Remains of lime-kiln beside the Red Burn.
