The Melrose FC Clubhouse
The Melrose FC Clubhouse
A new clubhouse at the Gibson Park called The Engine Room was opened on 23/2/12 by Mark Hateley the former Rangers, A.C. Milan and England player. The old fire station building that had been used for storage by the Melrose Festival committee was extended to form two changing rooms, a kitchen and toilet facilities. The club was formed in 1995 and now has 14 teams for boys and girls in the primary 1 to under 15 age groups. The building behind the clubhouse is Melrose Police Station. For a view of the old fire station building from High Street, see NT5434 : The old fire station at Melrose.
