Orwell Country Park was officially opened to the public in 1995 and has continued to grow in size and facilities ever since. It now consists of approximately 80 hectares (200 acres) and offers visitors a variety of woodland and shoreline walks, wildlife and scenery to explore. It is part of the Suffolk Coast & Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
