A tree on Farrer's Allotment
A tree on Farrer's Allotment
A few years ago the dense plantation of conifers that covered much of the eastern plateau of Whitbarrow was cut down. A sparse scatter of native trees was spared and the stumps remain to rot away. This looks like an elder. A double rainbow has formed briefly on the shower driven by a strong wind towards Kendal.
