This WWII FW3 type 22 pillbox is in the process of being covered by the shingle. It used to be surrounded by tubular beach scaffolding projecting from the shingle, all now covered by shingle. The scaffolding ran in front of the pillbox and was added after it was built. DOB reference S0001090.
