NO4202 : Statuette of Atlas

taken 16 years ago, near to Kirkton of Largo or Upper Largo, Fife, Scotland

Statuette of Atlas
Statuette of Atlas
This statuette of Atlas is on an upper floor window ledge of the most easterly house in Lower Largo passed on the Fife Coastal Path. It has to my knowledge been there for some years but alas I do not know its origin.
This area of Lower Largo is known as Temple and is thought to refer to Knights Templar having had a temple in the area. King David I brought the Knights Templar to Scotland in the 12th century.
