Bedford Autodrome

Thurleigh Airfield, Bedford, played its part in World War II, and in the development of the Harrier jump jet and other experimental aircraft. It is now the home to Palmer Sport, who run corporate motor sport events LinkExternal link , with four tracks on which participants drive seven different types of performance car from a fleet of over 100. It was a surprise to find this ‘green’ square hiding under a couple of supplementals, but we were welcomed by the Chief Instructor, Phil Ellis, and thanks to Andrew Gardner for an excellent tour.
