The picture was taken from the bridleway. The trees to the left mark the course of the line which was closed in 1938. The view extends into West Sussex with the masts on Truleigh Hill on the skyline.

Looking north along the dismantled track of the Dyke railway. The terminus was in the group of buildings just below the brow of Devil's Dyke itself. The route was closed in 1938 due to being uneconomic.
