This view from the Saxon Shore Way at Lower Upnor looks across the Medway Estuary to St Mary's Island. St Mary's Island at the northern end of Chatham has now been largely developed for housing.

In the River Medway north of Chatham Dockyard

A yard for repairs to boats on the north bank of the Medway. The rails reach far enough to get to the water's edge when the tide is in, allowing boats to be released into the river.
