A trainload of clay from the driers at Rocks, nr Bugle heads down the valley bound for the port of Fowey and then export by ship. The view is taken from the top of the disused aqueduct that crosses the valley at this point.

The Treffry Viaduct is a combined aqueduct and viaduct originally used to carry stone via horse drawn carriages on iron rails from the higher quarries. The aqueduct took water via leats to power water wheels in the Valley.
