Geograph - photograph every grid square

This bridge has the interesting-sounding name "Splash Bridge". After a few weeks of rain the stream is swollen, quite different to this view after a dry summer: Link .

Looking downstream at a brook that rises in Fritham, and meanders its way towards Blashford, to join the Avon. This summer, much of the brook is dry, and there is no current.

Which drains into Dockens Water (below bottom edge of picture). On left is Hasley Hill, with its Inclosure on top.

A group of about eight or nine ponies had been grazing their way across the heath, down to the lawn alongside Dockens Water near Splash Bridge, then made their way like this (nose to tail) along the narrow bank of the dry stream. Evidence... (more)

Tracks in Broomy Inclosure.

This bridge is found on the edge of Broomy Inclosure, New Forest.

A sombre scene of grassland, with little of the purples and pinks usually associated with heathland.

I think, with new stream meander at left.

This small timber stack sits alongside a track through the northern part of Broomy Inclosure. The fallen sign advises against climbing on the stacks.
