Former Post Office & General Stores (I'm assuming, by the size of the building). The A32 was the "Portsmouth Road" out of Chawton, and the Mail Coach would have passed this point.

This is at the junction of Brightstone Lane and Gosport Road. The blackboard sign directs the traveller to the "Rose and Crown" half a mile away. It seems my supposition was wrong - see Link.
