A courtyard off High Street leads to some enchanting sights. The reputation of the town is well established here.

I am not sure what species this evergreen is but it has been here for more than a week or two. It stands opposite the saw mill on Porchestall Drove. See ST4938 : Redundant Iron Bracket for evidence of its age.

This lane off the High Street with its many small and independent shops is an historic burgage plot. Link

On the wall of a curved, red-brick building near the roundabout on Magdalene Street/Street Road. Also faintly visible are the words 'Browning. Grocer.'

Conveniently located just off the A39 with a choice of food outlets to hand. For canny Scots, there's a branch of Greggs inside Subway. There's also a Tesco supermarket across the road.

Near the town centre, Magdalene Street was the A39 until Glastonbury bypass was completed.
