SP1773 : Houses at Darley Green B93

Edith Holden, author of The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady, lived with her parents and siblings in a semi-detached house called Troutbeck in Darley Green from 1880 to 1890. Her Nature Notes, which were the source of the Diary published long after her death, were written during 1906 when she was living at SP1382 : Gowan Bank, but the 1984 Central TV dramatisation was shot on location mostly in this and neighbouring squares, as the Olton area had by then become too built up.
