Llan Ffestiniog is a small village in Gwynedd lying south of Blaenau Ffestiniog.

Looking south east towards Coed Cymerau from the path to Dduallt. On the left is the ridge of Clogwyn y Geifr and in the distance the trees of Coed Cymerau.

This is a sight which has saddened me, in recent years. The pile of rocks near the centre of picture, and the vertical steel rails, to the right, are all that remains of an elegant bridge which spanned the railway line. It was only a small... (more)

Looking just to the south of Moel Dduallt, the train station on the Ffestiniog Railway is just out of view behind the central hill.

Late spring, lots of rain, very green and slippery. Typical Wales?

Below Clogwyn y Geifr the footpath emerges from the forestry plantation onto moorland and bracken.
