The Falls are still apparent here - it’s surprising how long they stretch. The footpath here allows easy access to the river edge - what a relaxing place, and good for a spot of wild swimming if you’re so inclined.

This is all that remains of what was a larger folly in the form of a sham castle ruin that stands on the ridge behind the 3 sorrelsykes follies

The path passes the end of Long Bank Wood. The route crosses Walden Beck, passes through Barrack Wood, then ascends very steeply to the disused Hudson Quarry. Hudson Lane, Morpeth Lane and then High Lane are followed before descending... (more)

There is an old boundary stone with an OS benchmark SE0288 : Benchmarked boundary stone beside A684 on the verge near the left hand edge of the image

There are three stone follies here the most prominent is the "Rocket Ship"
