Coniston
The steam launch Gondola owned by the National Trust on Coniston Water. The launch provides a ferry service about the lake.

Early arrivals at the campsite
An unseasonably warm Early May Bank Holiday brought large numbers of visitors. The early arrivals bagged the drier pitches though several vehicles required rescuing from soft ground. By Saturday the field was packed and a lot drier.

The Cumbria Way near Park Coppice
The Cumbria Way long distance path follows the west shore of Coniston Water near Park Coppice (next photograph SD3095 : Footbridge over Hoathwaite Beck). Beyond the path junction is a footbridge over Hoathwaite Beck.
