This is the main forestry road serving the western part of Coed Nantyrhwch. There has been widespread felling here but the strip to the left between this road and the public road is still intact as from by the house at Nantyrhwch.

The road has reached the watershed between the Gwy/Wye and Tywi systems and is about to head downhill again. Across the felled area is a substantial area of unplanted land, quite unusual here.

The left hand branch heads south for Llyn Brianne and beyond, the right hand branch takes an airy course over the mountains to arrive, eventually, at Tregaron.
