The Junction Pool on the Rothes and Aikenway salmon beat of the Spey is a premier venue for the salmon fisher. The pool is named thus as it is here that the Rothes Burn enters the Spey.

Tattie-Bogles
This trio has appeared in the last few days. A tattie-bogle is a scarecrow. For several years the village of Rothes ran a tattie-bogle festival as part of the Spirit of Speyside event, and this group looks like part of that.
