At the point where Ali is standing the cave proper starts (ie supplementary lighting becomes necessary). The passage size shrinks momentarily but soon soars to impressive heights again just within.

Cliffs formed of multiple lava flows, with a classic scree slope below. A later dyke snakes its way up from middle left, and where it disappears there is a waterfall being blown back upwards by a strong westerly wind.
