This is summit of footpath from Morvich on Loch Duich. Continuing east through Glen Affric you come to the Beauly Firth. The shortest crossing coast to coast in the Highlands I think ?

Climbing the south ridge of A' Ghlas-bheinn. My walk from Morvich at first light had been in gloomy shadow and intense cold. Within seconds of stepping free of Beinn Fhada's shadow I was in bright, warm sunshine.

Travelling west on path rising up from Loch a Bhealaich. A short climb around to the left of photo leads to the top of the col / pass (at about 510m). The heights of A Ghlas Bheinn are opposite.
