SK3455 :
This shows the interlaced track through the bridge. This type of track layout was commonly used where there was not enough road width to allow to trams to pass side by side. It was preferable to creating a section of single track which would require more expensive point-work, with the possibility of a tram accidentally heading up the wrong line if the points were incorrectly set.
