1st star : Writing style. Charming as always.
2nd star: For dynamics between Q and his friends
But God, the rest was annoying. I did not like Margo's character. Q's parents were unreal in terms of how gullible and trusting they are.
It seemed like the ending was missing from the book. Almost as if someone had ripped out the last couple chapter. I did not get that 'complete story' feeling. I was not expecting an "Author's note when I turned the page. I was expecting another chapter. The ending (from when they spot her car till the last word of this book), it seemed rushed and messy. Connections to the past felt random. No particular flow to the discussion between Margo and Q. It felt as of Mr. Green was hours away from the deadline and had to finish the story anyhow.
After hyping up the whole search for 75% of the book, I feel the ending demanded more effort which I felt was lacking.
I picked up this book because I loved 'A Fault In Our Stars"...for me, 'Paper Towns' didnt hit a spot.
