Kira manusia kembali menjadi savages. A lot of messed up thing happened *warning*
Very confusing figure and hard to explain
Mungkin sebab aku fikir masyarakat bertamadun yang aku kenal tak akn jadi macam dalam buku ni. So if fiction does not depict reality, then what is the point?
but first how do we know that it does not depict reality?...more

Unik utk Snicket.
Cerita dia susah nak rate sebab dia macam tak nampak gambar besar sebab bersambung dengan novel susulan. Secara umumnya cerita dia memang menarik.
Cantik art dia. Boleh beli di Carousell atau Bookxcess...more

Tapi aku tangguh nak ulas buku ni sebab takut tak mampu ulas dengan ulasan yang setimpal dengan pengalaman aku baca buku ni. Tapi fikir ah, mampus lah.
Bye...more

Dia macam just tampal gitu je...more

Ditambah pula aku baca buku ni sambil dengar versi buku audio, memang menusuk. Aku harap Charlie Gordon baik-baik saja. +Keep in mind tentang Alegori Gua Plato bila anda baca buku ni

Nilai sebenar: 3.5
Buku sai-fi yang ke-3 aku baca. Kali pertama aku baca tulisan Asimov.
1- A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. 2- A robot must obey orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law. 3- A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

Aku anggap diri aku peminat sci-fi, tapi aku jarang/dah lama tak baca buku sci-fi.
Selain 'Kenirmaknaan Dunia', banyak juga tentang free will, agama dll....more
Lambat gila aku buat ulasan ni Buku kedua dalam perjalanan aku menelaah khazanah sastera sai-fi. Buku ni bukanlah Ulasan Retrospektif
Nilai sebenar: 3.6

Why does it matter and how much does it matter?
Sangat lengkap.
Bila dah masuk bahagian langkah2 aplikasi ni semakin jelas bahawa untuk mengurangkan penggunaan plastik dalam kehidupan ni memang kita perlu nilai, rombak dan susun semula bagaimana kita urus kehidupan kita. Bagi sesetengah orang mungkin ia menyusahkan/turn off.

"Moving Heaven and Earth" discusses the history of the Heliocentric model (sun at the center) of the solar system, its improvements and the impact of the theory through out different fields in the world.
This book is short but damn concise. The writer did a good job of arranging the chapters and explained the different scientific and geometry theory well enough even though some part of it could be simplified a bit for general public like me. But I think overall, the writer has tried his best of explaining the theories and I'm just plain stupid lol.
This book also explores different perspectives of the world that influenced this theory such as philosophy, tradition and religious beliefs such as the original wisdom of Adam. Another interesting point you'll find through out the book is the clash of mathematics and philosophy where before the 17th century, math was regarded inferior to philosophy. Why? Well..read the book.
The clash of religious beliefs and science is also quite glaring in the book. While some people might say the scientific revolution made possible by the Copernican theory put and end to religious beliefs or at least shows its irrelevance, astronomers such as Johannes Kepler and mathematician Isaac Newton believed that the mathematical harmony of the Copernican theory actually showed that it was created by a divine intelligence.
Overall, great book. It's for me the go-to book for a brief history of the Copernican system and you should check it out if you are interested.
