Cowboys Golf Club

I’ve played here at least a dozen times and always enjoy the experience. But the upkeep of the course itself continues to decline in quality. The range, Tee boxes, greens, bunkers and even several fairways just need a break and some quality maintenance. The rest of the experience is great. Staff is always friendly and service is great.

The course was in great condition. Food was amazing and the staff was very friendly. Pace of play was also excellent. Will definitely be back to play

I have played golf for 25 years and this was easily the worst value round of golf of my life. For $240, my expectations are that not only are the facilities and quality of the course are first class, but also that the staff be friendly and helpful. I can honestly say for the price, not a single one of these three factors met an acceptable level. There were many dead spots on greens and teeboxes. Furthermore, the only places on the entire golf course where one could find fresh sod was off to the sides of holes near the cart path. Overall it is very clear the GM and greenskeepers are in over their head.

For a reference, I had the opportunity to play golf at Atlanta Athletic Club -- Highlands for about half of the cost of this golf course. The host of 3 PGA Championships, 1 US. Open, the US Amateur, 1 US Womens Open and 1 US LPGA Championship, which was in great conditions, cost much less than Cowboys GC.

I strongly urge anyone to avoid playing here at all costs!

The best thing was to bump into someone at course for INFOCOM

I was looking forward to playing Cowboys because it was in such great shape the other times I played it.
Greens were quite rough. There was almost no sand on the bunkers.
Staff and food were excellent, but there are many courses in Dallas that are in much better condition for a lot less money.

Me and my brother were excited to play there for the first time. So we got the expensive early tee time so we could enjoy not having to be rushed or waiting on other players. Unexpectedly and unbelievably we were paired up with some club members. Friendly guys but rushed us anyways which threw us off our game. Could've have a better experience if we played alone. Other than that we had a OKAY time.

I went to the Cowboys Golf Club for the first time today and had a great time. Definitely a very pricey green fee but the amenities and food made up for it! The fairways might need a little attention but is understandable for the weather we've had in the DFW area this winter but overall a very fun course and I will be back!

BTW I played solo and had my fiancé as an additional rider (The club charges $50 for the rider so they can also enjoy the all inclusive food and amenities) and finished in about 4 hours from start to finish.

The most over price course ever. I’ve played this course many times and it hasn’t changed besides gotten worse and the price has gone up. Right now that course is comparable to $50-$75 courses around here. I’ve played it when it was $199 and in amazing shape. Now it’s $235.00 and in no where close to being in shape for a $100 course. Extremely upset with the shape it’s in.

I had mixed emotions on the forced caddie, but he was actually awesome. It was a great course and awesome time!

I've seen better greens and tee boxes on a muni course in August. Seriously, how do they not water their greens or tee boxes with what they charge? Pretty much every green was damaged in some way, the fringes were a disaster and most tee boxes were used and abused. The fairways were decent so can't say much there, the pace of play started of bad but got better and we ended on 4.5hrs so not horrible. Was just not happy about paying $240 for a course in that condition. what a joke.
