Ayo Edebiri has been absolutely dominating this year. With starring roles in The Bear, Bottoms, Black Mirror, Abbott Elementary, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, she's one of the most exciting stars on the rise right now. Off-screen, her fashion and beauty moves are just as compelling. There was her baby beehive at the Prada show this September, her quirky take on preppy librariancore, and her ongoing partnership with Loewe, which she wore to the CFDA Fashion Awards on November 6.
Edebiri arrived at the ceremony healed at the iconic American Museum of Natural History wearing a slinky floor-length black gown by the Spanish fashion house. It had a high neckline and open back, and she finished the look with dangly earrings and simple strappy heels. If you ask us, though, the best part of the look was her radiant skin and lived-in liner, courtesy of celebrity makeup artist Rommy Najor, who gave us the exclusive details on the look.

"The inspo for the look was yummy, expensive, radiant skin," says Najor, who used all Hard Candy products for the look. "We wanted something fresh and timeless to reflect the silhouette of the dress. I wouldn’t say we leaned into any trends, as I kept the makeup more on the tonal side so that it felt more natural and timeless."
A key to the timeless look was Edebiri's glowing complexion, which Najor achieved by using the Glamoflauge Foundation. He says that he took his time in between skin prep to allow the foundation to really melt into her skin, allowing a few minutes in between each complexion product.

Then, he applied the Face Off Luminous Gel Bronzer in Sweet Tea and Chocolate Drip around her eyes and cheeks "to create a satin finish." He created depth with the Marquee Naked & Famous Palette in shades Warm Up and Hit Single to add depth before wiggling in some eyeliner at the root of her lashes, using the Eye Def Eyeshadow Marker in Lights Out and a small brush. Then, he "lined the inside of the eye with [the same marker] in Cold Brew to add a bit of glow and brightness to the eyes. Lastly, I combed through her lashes in the Jet Black Dare to Extend Ultimate Mascara."
To keep the look in place all night, he relied on the brand's Sheer Envy Glow Serum Primer on the high planes of the cheeks and a dusting of the Sheer Envy Mattifying Face Primer only in the center of the face.
