Let's just call it what it is. Housing is not for the benefit of having a place to stay but a money grab. All these "low income" are BS because eventually you will be priced out of your income limits. I can tell you when you move into these places they give you a pantry package why....because they don't care if you can eat, pay con ed, travel to and from work, basic needs. just give me my rent money. I know you have to pay to maintain the premises but that is not promise. Between tennets messing up the building and the management penalizing everyone or being able to barely pay rent but want to charge extra for amenities and all together blocking it off completely for use. They build parking garages under the buildings not for use for tennets at a discounted rate but for car storage for everyone else. is ridiculous. Hochul Mayor Adams and everyone in between its all a money grab. Food for thought.....They are selling off NYCHA property to 3rd party investors stating the money made would benefit the community and people who they took space from but it is never seen. Now they are converting NYCHA to Section (Federal program) because the City was horrible at maintaining it. Slowly but surely people will take their section 8 and moved to cheaper areas leaving the city to the Really Rich or really poor. Tell my how the minimum income for a building is 70,000 to 90,000 to live next to a funeral home, across from NYCHA housing and a area where the crime rate is HIGH!!!. because those who can no longer afford to live in Manhattan are now driving up the AMI in other areas forcing poor people out. This story is no surprised just the writing on the wall. Maybe they will re analyze once we have our version of Skid Row like LA because affordable housing will no longer exist here.

The Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge Turns 60since i am female and hispanic i would have never been welcome at any of these clubs. yeah, the whole "What if you lived a century ago" isn't so fun for a lot of us, especially not women. but! if these clubs existed today, I'd be in a bicycle club! Although knowing brooklyn of today and many of my middle aged male co-workers, they'd all be jerks in spandex on $8,000 carbon frame bikes. sigh.
