Mar 14, 2019 · 1000mg Valtrex + high dose L Lysin (inhibits HSV virus copy, too) helped me to some degree. (less fatigue, less muscle pain) After several weeks I switched to low dose Valtrex 2x250mg (morning/night) + 1x 2000mg L Lysin (at lunchtime), doing so …

Jul 28, 2017 · I've been on both valtrex and famvir long term dealing with 2 different strans of the herpes virus. I was on valtrex for 3 months which I believe was better for HSV1/2 for me. Famvir for 4 months was better for CMV and EBV. For valtrex the only side effect I had was that I was dizzy and I would loose my balance sometimes.
DISCUSSION: Valtrex -> valcyte or famvir for HHV-6 and cmv
Jun 10, 2020 · Basically there is not much choice: if you have EBV and no other viruses, then you can use Valtrex. But if you have other active herpesviruses, or more than one active herpesvirus, then Valtrex will not help, as it does not work for CMV or HHV-6, only EBV. In this case, Valcyte is appropriate, as this works for EBV, CMV, HHV-6, VZV and HSV.

Feb 28, 2010 · Just re-started Valtrex (second month) after not filling it or taking it for about two weeks. I "think" the side-effect I am having again with Valtrex is the heavy non-stop sleep and total lack of energy. Sleeping again up to about 18 hours a day and so not able to wake up. This happened the first few weeks of the Round One Valtrex.

Oct 20, 2020 · Valacyclovir (Valtrex) is the prodrug to acyclovir. The liver converts valacyclovir to acyclovir in the body. Valacyclovir is good for HSV1 and 2 and VCV and is usually considered to be safer than Valcyte (valganciclovir). I started on too high a dose of valayclovir too quickly and made myself worse.

Dec 27, 2009 · Every time within 10-13 days I come down with the full symptoms of EBV. Before I went on the Valtrex I was housebound and had to use a scooter to get around outside the house. Aug 16, 2020 · When treating herpesvirus-associated ME/CFS with antivirals such as Valtrex and Valcyte, Dr Lerner's studies showed it takes a long time for benefits to appear, usually 3 or 4 months for the very first signs of improvements to materialize, and a year or more for the full benefits to manifest.
