Today is our day to bring snack to DD's preschool. Today is 'purple day' so the kids are supposed to wear purple, and the snack person is supposed to bring a purple snack. Other than grapes, what are some purple snack type foods suitable for preschool kids??! Help!! TIA!

Sep 18, 2009 · I figured, awesome, I could easily do cupcakes with purple icing (it's a PM session class, after lunch). We went to back to school night and the teacher was talking to the whole class' parents about how she was mortified that one of the students brought in a cupcake for snack (single personal snack, not on a color snack day).

Oct 24, 2007 · RE: "H" pre-school snack ideas? Hard boiled eggs, hot dogs, hashbrowns, honeydew melon, honey tangerine, haricot bean (green bean). I did a google search for "H" foods and got a bunch of links, I just posted the foods that sounded child friendly.

Oct 7, 2023 · I find their produce, deli, and basic pantry staples to be comparable to Whole Foods so when we lived in an area with both I would go to Sprouts more than Whole Foods. I think there meat is just okay but for snack like staples, frozen food, and deserts you are better off at Trader Joe’s, Target/Walmart, and Kroger/Safeway/other chain supermarket.

Feb 21, 2021 · Has anyone used Imperfect foods? They do deliver in my area and I have seen some trucks out and about, but don't know anyone who has used them. Looks like you can pick what you want eack week (out of what they are selling) and they deliver it.

It does upon a first quick glance look less like an ice pack, and more like some kind of snack, but once you read the words "ice pack" that pretty much clears it up. I'm wondering if the teachers were in a hurry and just going around opening packages as fast as possible and didn't give it a good enough look.

The half time snack was always fruit, usually something with high water content like orange slices, and of course we all brought our own water bottles. The post game snack was not so great (bars or chips plus juice packs like caprisun) and, IMO, totally unnecessary, but I find that we tend to use food as a reward in this culture.

They actually sell them at Luckys/Albertsons - in the "ethnic foods" aisle. I gave them out at Halloween. Never even thought about the nut allergies! I called my Albertsons this morning and they said they didn't have any. I'm going to try a different grocery store which has a slightly larger ethnic section. If they don't have them I'm giving up.
