Go to View tab and see if "Gridlines" check box is ticked. If not then Tick it. Also, the brightness of the monitor may sometimes cause the gridlines to blur out.

How can I make gridlines on the display the default for new worksheets? Also, when I bring up an existing sheet, the gridlines do not shoe in the display. Have used this PC to print Excel programs with gridlines for years without problems. Have tried to print other spreadsheets with the gridline box checked with the same result.
