@article{noauthororeditor, abstract = {The WWW is a vast information resource with enormous potential. The retrieval of relevant information from the web is a major issue because it is difficult for the machines to process and integrate the information. Internet is growing very fast as pages are added in a very fast pace. Searching on the web for a specific topic results in hundreds of pages and it is up to the user to extract the useful information from the result set. This paper presents insight on how current search engine works and also the potential gain of using current search engines. This paper further gives an overview of the challenges surrounding current search techniques and looks at the need of an intelligent information retrieval system on web. This paper also reviews the foundations required to make the search engine an intelligent one and also gives an insight on concepts like metadata, RDF, URI, XML, triples and ontologies}, added-at = {2021-09-22T12:01:56.000+0200}, author = {George, Jijy and .N., Sandhya and George, Suja}, biburl = {https://www.bibsonomy.org/bibtex/2ae406cbdba46d842b72c7179f7823ba0/ijisme_beiesp}, editor = {Kumar, Dr. Shiv}, interhash = {67bbad32adec0bca3fcdb6bcba31078b}, intrahash = {ae406cbdba46d842b72c7179f7823ba0}, issn = {2319-6386}, journal = {International Journal of Innovative Science and Modern Engineering (IJISME)}, keywords = {Ontologies RDF Semantic Triples XML web}, language = {En}, month = {March}, number = 4, pages = {25-29}, timestamp = {2021-09-22T12:01:56.000+0200}, title = {Search on Web- From Classical Web to Semantic Web}, url = {https://www.ijisme.org/wp-content/uploads/papers/v1i4/D0182031413.pdf}, volume = 1, year = 2013 } @book{euzenat2007ontology, abstract = {Ontologies are viewed as the silver bullet for many applications: database integration, peer-to-peer systems, e-commerce, semantic web services, social networks and more. However, in open or evolving systems, different parties can adopt different ontologies. Instead of reducing heterogeneity, this raises heterogeneity problems to a higher level. This book proposes ontology matching as a solution to the problem of semantic heterogeneity. Ontology matching seeks correspondences between semantically related entities of different ontologies. In addition to equivalence, it explores relations such as consequence, subsumption, or disjointness between ontology entities. The book also describes a variety of matching tools: databases, information systems, artificial intelligence. Ontology Matching offers researchers and practitioners a reference to currently available work in a uniform framework. In particular, the techniques presented in this book can equally be applied to database schema matching, catalog integration, XML schema matching and other related problems. The objectives of the book include presenting the state of the art, and presenting the latest research results in ontology matching by providing a logical account of matching techniques and matching systems from theoretical, practical and application perspectives.}, added-at = {2019-03-08T12:38:28.000+0100}, address = {Berlin, Heidelberg}, author = {Euzenat, J{\'e}r{\^o}me and Shvaiko, Pavel}, biburl = {https://www.bibsonomy.org/bibtex/224255e55ce76a6fb52a4303a323475fb/theodoro}, interhash = {b5bd21db12f0506864ab06377ba3a1a4}, intrahash = {24255e55ce76a6fb52a4303a323475fb}, keywords = {knowledge matching measures owl rdf relatedness semantic semantic-measures xml}, publisher = {Springer}, timestamp = {2019-06-21T09:55:05.000+0200}, title = {Ontology Matching}, url = {https://hal.inria.fr/hal-00917910/document}, year = 2007 } @electronic{biron2004schema, added-at = {2015-04-22T17:42:51.000+0200}, author = {Biron, Paul V. and Malhotra, Ashok}, biburl = {https://www.bibsonomy.org/bibtex/25f3cbc11ea7a5b80c7ce41f00656dcdc/asalber}, institution = {W3C}, interhash = {abd70cd65eb28301862e24cae945da8d}, intrahash = {5f3cbc11ea7a5b80c7ce41f00656dcdc}, keywords = {RDF XML datatypes ontologies semantic-web}, month = oct, timestamp = {2015-05-29T13:31:29.000+0200}, title = {{XML} Schema Part 2: Datatypes Second Edition}, type = {{W3C} Recommendation}, url = {http://www.w3.org/TR/2004/REC-xmlschema-2-20041028/}, urldate = {2015-03-15}, year = 2004 } @electronic{gandon2014syntax, added-at = {2015-04-22T12:47:46.000+0200}, author = {Gandon, Fabien and Schreiber, Guus}, biburl = {https://www.bibsonomy.org/bibtex/2c25bdb700f2fadf537ab351f953ecfc4/asalber}, institution = {W3C}, interhash = {b24245e754841497958701f562e82bf3}, intrahash = {c25bdb700f2fadf537ab351f953ecfc4}, keywords = {RDF XML ontologies semantic-web}, month = feb, timestamp = {2015-05-29T13:33:39.000+0200}, title = {{RDF} 1.1 {XML} Syntax}, type = {{W3C} Recommendation}, url = {http://www.w3.org/TR/2014/REC-rdf-syntax-grammar-20140225/}, urldate = {2015-03-15}, year = 2014 } @article{signore2001rappresentazione, added-at = {2014-12-09T20:49:36.000+0100}, author = {Signore, Oreste}, biburl = {https://www.bibsonomy.org/bibtex/2fd0e7c97896947c46caf2a511f5dbcd2/mg_tomaino}, editor = {Consortium, W3C World Wide Web}, interhash = {d660c661e1a090e0c56b282a5782aa63}, intrahash = {fd0e7c97896947c46caf2a511f5dbcd2}, keywords = {KnowledgeManagement RDF SemanticWeb W3C XML metadata metadati}, timestamp = {2014-12-09T21:31:50.000+0100}, title = {RDF per la rappresentazione della conoscenza}, url = {http://www.w3c.it/papers/RDF.pdf}, volume = {KM2002 Conference Proceedings, Milan, March 27-28 March, 2002}, year = 2002 } @electronic{daconta2003semantic, abstract = {Imagine if you could teach your computer to make decisions that lead to faster B2B trading implementations, more effective customer management, and seamless data warehousing. This document specifies how to use RDFa with XHTML. The rendered, hypertext data of XHTML is reused by the RDFa markup, so that publishers don't need to repeat significant data in the document content. The underlying abstract representation is RDF, which lets publishers build their own vocabulary, extend others, and evolve their vocabulary with maximal interoperability over time. The expressed structure is closely tied to the data, so that rendered data can be copied and pasted along with its relevant structure. The rules for interpreting the data are generic, so that there is no need for different rules for different formats; this allows authors and publishers of data to define their own formats without having to update software, register formats via a central authority, or worry that two formats may interfere with each other. RDFa shares some use cases with microformats. Whereas microformats specify both a syntax for embedding structured data into HTML documents and a vocabulary of specific terms for each microformat, RDFa specifies only a syntax and relies on independent specification of terms (often called vocabularies or taxonomies) by others. RDFa allows terms from multiple independently-developed vocabularies to be freely intermixed and is designed such that the language can be parsed without knowledge of the specific term vocabulary being used.}, added-at = {2012-09-10T17:40:58.000+0200}, author = {Adida, Ben and Birbeck, Mark and McCarron, Shane and Pemberton, Steven}, biburl = {https://www.bibsonomy.org/bibtex/2a32b2f0f9d63138949e3ecda26de98c9/rnesselrath}, day = 14, howpublished = {W3C Recommendation}, interhash = {b38423950d274f0a7ec16277d4828e65}, intrahash = {a32b2f0f9d63138949e3ecda26de98c9}, keywords = {format html ontology rdf v1010 w3c web xml zzz.c4a zzz.th.c4}, month = oct, note = {\url{http://www.w3.org/TR/rdfa-syntax/}}, timestamp = {2012-09-10T17:40:59.000+0200}, title = {{RDFa in XHTML}: Syntax and Processing -- A Collection of Attributes and Processing Rules for Extending {XHTML} to Support {RDF}}, url = {http://www.w3.org/TR/rdfa-syntax/}, year = 2008 } @article{goetz2012, added-at = {2012-01-17T10:11:11.000+0100}, author = {Goetz, M. and Zipf, A.}, biburl = {https://www.bibsonomy.org/bibtex/2ca37882f3e05cb72a713acaa61ef71c7/maxirichter}, interhash = {a2b6e1f3d5dfc8fd167f79264081ef60}, intrahash = {ca37882f3e05cb72a713acaa61ef71c7}, keywords = {geographic map ontology osm rdf xml}, timestamp = {2012-01-17T10:11:11.000+0100}, title = {Extending OpenStreetMap to Indoor Environments : bringing Volunteered Geographic Information to the Next Level}, url = {http://koenigstuhl.geog.uni-heidelberg.de/publications/2011/Goetz/Goetz-Zipf_2011_IndoorOSM.pdf}, year = 2012 } @techreport{Tobin2001, abstract = {This W3C Note defines an RDF schema for the XML Infoset.}, added-at = {2011-02-09T18:13:11.000+0100}, author = {Tobin, Richard}, biburl = {https://www.bibsonomy.org/bibtex/294a2d7003a4eb9db4749b9a973ccc7c8/voj}, day = 6, howpublished = {W3C Note}, interhash = {d9a263236be9d8d6cfd11d3fe813a9ae}, intrahash = {94a2d7003a4eb9db4749b9a973ccc7c8}, keywords = {infoset rdf xml}, month = {4}, timestamp = {2011-02-09T18:13:11.000+0100}, title = {An RDF Schema for the XML Information Set}, url = {http://www.w3.org/TR/2001/NOTE-xml-infoset-rdfs-20010406}, year = 2001 } @book{Daconta2003Semantic, abstract = {{"The Semantic Web is an extension of the current Web in which information is given well-defined meaning, better enabling computers and people to work in cooperation." -Tim Berners-Lee, Scientific American, May 2001 This authoritative guide shows how the Semantic Web works technically and how businesses can utilize it to gain a competitive advantage.
