However, running a business involves a myriad of open-ended problems, making it hard to generalize from recent studies showing that generative AI improves performance on well-defined writing tasks. In our field experiment with 640 Kenyan entrepreneurs, we assessed the impact of AI-generated advice on small business revenues and profits. Participants were randomly assigned to a control group that received a standard business guide or to a treatment group that received a GPT-4-powered AI business mentor via WhatsApp. We are unable to reject the null hypothesis that generative AI access has no impact, but are able to rule out the large effect sizes reported by other studies of generative AI’s economic impact. Our overall null result masks treatment effect heterogeneity with respect to the baseline business performance of the entrepreneur: our point estimates suggest that high performers benefited by just over 15% from AI advice, whereas low performers did about 8% worse with AI assistance. Exploratory analysis of WhatsApp interaction logs shows that both groups sought the AI mentor’s advice, but that low performers did worse because they sought help on more challenging business tasks. Tight coordination among business partners assists to share and integrate the service logic globally. But integrating service logics across diverse enterprises leads to exponential problem which stipulates developers to comprehend the whole service and must resolve suitable method to integrate the services. It is complex and time-consuming task. So the present focus is to have a mechanized system to analyze the Business logics and convey the proper mode to integrate them. There is no standard model to undertake these issues and one such a framework proposed in this paper examines the Business logics individually and suggests proper structure to integrate them. One of the innovative concepts of proposed model is Property Evaluation System which scrutinizes the service logics and generates Business Logic Property Schema (BLPS) for the required services. BLPS holds necessary information to recognize the correct structure for integrating the service logics. These changes have had a revolutionary effect on the oil and gas sector, ushering in a new era. Liberalization, government engagement, indigenization, statutory reform, and the creation of intervention agencies are among the most important policy reforms. Human capital and labor force have both seen significant increases as a result of these policy changes. As a result of the reforms, there is now a skilled and competent workforce in the oil and gas sector that can efficiently manage and operate petroleum-related activities. The optimization of fiscal terms, transparency of revenue collection mechanisms, and responsible management of resources have all had remarkable effects on revenue. The region's economy has flourished thanks to the influx of newfound wealth. As a result of these changes, a growing share of resources (including materials, labor, and capital) are being drawn from the local community. Incredible strides have been made in indigenous peoples' ability to participate in society, find gainful employment, and gain economic independence. These changes have allowed for the modernization and improvement of the oil and gas industry in West African countries through the transfer of technology from international partners. The decrease in need for foreign aid and knowledge is one of the most important results of the new policies. Local businesses and residents are now more involved in the administration of oil and gas resources thanks to increased autonomy. People's financial well-being and collective sense of ownership over oil and gas assets have been bolstered by this development. The policy shifts have made the market more attractive to both domestic and international investors, leading to a rise in capital expenditures and a satisfactory rate of return for the sector as a whole. Strict standards and regulations have been put in place to reduce the likelihood of accidents and environmental damage, reflecting a focus on safety and environmental consciousness.}, added-at = {2024-03-22T12:47:00.000+0100}, author = {Ekeinde Evelyn Bose | Okujagu, Diepiriye C |}, biburl = {https://www.bibsonomy.org/bibtex/21cbacc19cf9d7b0fcbd09dc8549695e6/centralasian_20}, interhash = {b20152b67ee110258d8c63181c549329}, intrahash = {1cbacc19cf9d7b0fcbd09dc8549695e6}, issn = {2660-5317}, journal = {Central Asian Journal of Theoretical and Applied Science}, keywords = {Business Content Development, Gas Ghana, Local Niger, Nigeria, Oil Petroleum Policy Reforms, Technology Transfer, and}, language = {English}, month = nov, number = 12, pages = {39-60}, timestamp = {2024-03-22T12:47:00.000+0100}, title = {Effect of Petroleum Policy “Reforms” In Oil and Gas Business in West Africa Sub-Region }, url = {https://cajotas.centralasianstudies.org/index.php/CAJOTAS/article/view/1364/1415}, volume = 4, year = 2023 } @article{m2010business, abstract = {Making a business rule extraction more dynamic is an open issue, and we think it is feasible if we decompose the business process structure in a set of rules, each of them representing a transition of the business process. As a consequence the business process engine can be realized by reusing and integrating an existing Rule Engine. We are proposing a way for extracting the business rules and then to modify it at the runtime. Business rules specifies the constraints that affect the behaviors and also specifies the derivation of conditions that affect the execution flow. The rules can be extracted from use cases, specifications or system code. But since not many enterprises capture their business rules in a structured, explicit form like documents or implicit software codes, they need to be identified first, before being captured and managed. These rules change more often than the processes themselves, but changing and managing business rules is a complex task beyond the abilities of most business analysts. The capturing process focuses on the identification of the potential business rules sources. As business logic requirements change, business analysts can update the business logic without enlisting the aid of the IT staff. The new logic is immediately available to all client applications. In current trend the rules are modified or changed in the static time phase. But this paper provides to change the rules at the run time. Here the rules are extracted from the services and can be a changed dynamically. The existing rules are modified and attached to source code without hindering service to the end user which can be achieved with source control systems. When the rules are revised, it provides a path in budding new business logic. This new business logic can be adopted for the efficient software development. }, added-at = {2024-03-15T13:16:01.000+0100}, author = {M, Thirumaran. and E, Ilavarasan. and K, Thanigaivel. and S, Abarna.}, biburl = {https://www.bibsonomy.org/bibtex/2b53332c5c8565dc3c711ab6b0d506960/ijwsc}, description = {dblp}, doi = {10.5121/ijwsc.2010.1202}, ee = {http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/S0020-0190(98)00158-6}, interhash = {6964273f9ac68960f998b0623a1a131c}, intrahash = {b53332c5c8565dc3c711ab6b0d506960}, issn = {0976 - 9811 (Online); 2230 - 7702 (Print)}, journal = {International Journal on Web Service Computing (IJWSC)}, keywords = {Approaches Business Dynamic Execution Rule Rules process rules}, language = {English}, month = {December}, number = 2, pages = {15-29}, timestamp = {2024-03-15T13:16:01.000+0100}, title = {BUSINESS RULE MANAGEMENT FRAMEWORK FOR ENTERPRISE WEB SERVICES}, url = {https://airccse.org/journal/jwsc/papers/1210ijwsc02.pdf}, volume = 1, year = 2010 } @article{ezoem2024digital, abstract = {The study ascertained digital competencies needed of business education graduates’ employability prospect and job creation in tertiary institutions in Delta State, Nigeria. Two research questions guided the study and two null hypotheses were formulated and tested. Descriptive survey research design was adopted. The population for the study comprised 133 business education lecturers in the five tertiary institutions in Delta State, Nigeria. The entire population was studied because the population size was manageable. The instrument for data collection was 21-item structured questionnaire. The instrument was validated by two experts. The reliability of the instrument was established using test-retest method and data collected were analyzed using Spearman’s rank order correlation, which yielded overall reliability coefficient of 0.81. Data collected were analyzed using mean and standard deviation to answer research questions, while t-test and analysis of variance were used to test the null hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. The findings of the study revealed that digital marketing competencies and digital social media competencies are highly needed of business education graduates’ employability prospect and job creation in Delta State. Gender and years of teaching experience do not significantly influenced business education lecturers mean responses concerning digital marketing and digital social media competencies needed of business education graduates for employability prospect and job creation in Delta State. The study concluded that lack of digital competencies affect business education graduates in securing meaningful employment, establishing and sustaining business venture that can stand the test of time in this digital age. It was therefore recommended that business education students should be trained on digital marketing competencies by giving them several assignments on purchasing and marketing of goods online.
